2023 Goals and Natasha Denona 28 Green-Brown palette look

This is hands down my most expensive eyeshadow palette. I purchased it a couple of years ago when ND had a 50% off sale for Black Friday, still making it a costly palette.

I already had a few of her palettes when I bought this one and was familiar with the formula. I was excited to have the palette but since then I haven’t used it much – not surprising given the amount of eyeshadow palettes I have!

In 2022 I really focused on not purchasing as many palettes as I previously did, in fact, I haven’t even purchased the latest ND palette, Retro Glam Palette.

For 2023 I want to refocus on panning my existing palettes so between now and the end of the year I’ll be choosing a few palettes to focus on and the ND Green Brown palette is the first one in the list.

I used it for a few days last week to start it going and I’ve really been enjoying the looks.

As you can see, I paired it with the new Colourpop Muppet Christmas palette to make a more colorful look.

I love the blue green shift of Cloudy Blue and I think it went perfect with th blue in the Colourpop palette

What do you think of this look and what are some of your beauty 2023 goals?

Natasha Denona Retro Palette look Vol I

This year I gave in to the “pink February” theme.

But listen, it’s because of all these great eyeshadow palettes!

My first “February” look (not that I’m planing more or anything) is using the Natasha Denona Retro palette

I’m a sucker for pretty much all of her palettes. Off the top of my head I can only think of one formula, one color in one palette that I don’t like. It’s that gold color in the Gold Palette. Brass. It’s just like flakey gold flakes.

Anyway, this palette doesn’t have any of that. While it may look monochromatic and boring, I love the colors available. You can do a “one and done” on the lid with pretty much all of these shades,of you can come up with a lighter pink look. There’s space for a smokey look, even a taupe-y look.

I’ll admit I may need help with color descriptions but we’re going to ignore that.

For this look I used: nude mauve , go-go, groove, jude, hello

Natasha Denona Glam Palette V2

Oy, I just checked and this palette is sold out at Sephora again and with good reason!

This palette is so pretty and the layout makes it so easy to create a variety of looks. I personally don’t like that the shadows don’t have individual names but the formula makes up for it.

I’m not usually into cool toned palettes but this color story is so easy to use. I realize it’s not very “Spring” but, inside my house all seasons feel the same, lol.

The mattes in this palette are very buildable so you don’t have to worry about going in too harshly and then blending for ages to soften the edges. The metallics are so soft and they apply nicely with a flat brush or your finger. I didn’t even use glitter primer with this look and the shadows still looked so beautiful.

I hope this palette becomes available for the Sephora Spring sale.

Other products used in this look :

  • The Crayon Case Blush Binder for bronzer and blush
  • Highlighter is CP Monster SSC with
  • Jaclyn Cosmetics Spark$ over
  • Lippie stix Hike House
  • Elf camo CC gream
  • DIOR forever foundation

#carselfies

These days my car selfies are looking a little different

My car lease was up and I’m trying to decide if I want to get another car or use alternative transportation given how little I leave my house and how close my job is (and working from home plays a big impact too)

I want to try to test this out for a month or two and how I feel afterward. I’m also hoping that not being able to just jump in my car and go somewhere will help curb my spending habits. Fingers crossed!

Maybe I’ll get a moped or scooter, haha.

Here is what I look like under the mask today

Products used:

  • Lancome Clarifique Exfoliating & Hydrating Face Essence with Glycolic Acid (gifted)
  • Supergoop Mineral Sheer Suncreen spf 30 PA++ (gifted)
  • Colourpop Rendezvous palette (discontinued) , Cool Breeze shadow stix
  • Natasha Denona Metropolis palette and setting powder
  • Morphe 25B (to set shadow base)
  • Tarte Ave Princess contour palette
  • Tarte four pan blush palette (discontinued) and BB tinted primer broad spectrum over
  • CYO foundation (discontinued

I was reall impressed with the BrowGal brow pencil (received in Boxycharm or Ipsy). It’s soft and makes it easy to fill in your brows AND it comes with a built in sharpener

Have you used any of these products?

Natasha Denona Glam Palette

When I first saw the ND Glam palette I didn’t think I’d add it to my stash. This is too cool of a color story for me but, a friend and my love for her shadows quickly changed my mind haha.

The biggest difference between this palette and others is that the shades don’t have names, instead they’re labeled by what part of the eye it’s recommended to be used on. I’m not the biggest fan of this but I can see how it would be helpful to someone starting off.

One of the my favorite thing about Natasha Denona is how many tutorials she puts out using her palettes. Between those and the labeling here it’s a great palette for someone starting or for a quick look.

I’m curious what others think of this naming convention. Would you prefer names or do you like this method?

MOTD Natasha Denona Zendo Palette

The new Natasha Denona Zendo plan is so pretty and perfect for a quick look!
This is one of the smaller $25 palettes and the quality is still there.

The palette has two mattes, one that you can use in your crease as a transition shade diffused up to your brow bone and a slightly darker matte that you can build up to darken the look.

Natasha Denona Zendo Palette

I used the darkest shimmer, Stark, in the outer V to smoke out my look and the green shimmer shade, Stripped, in the inner and center area of the lid over the NYX Cosmetics Glitter primer.

I did have some slight fallout, most of which I was able to brush off but I did end up with a few specks of glitter here and there.

I loved how this came out and how long it last throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this, especially during the Sephora Holiday sale or Black Friday sales

Natasha Denona Tropic Palette

I have been wanting the Tropic palette since it launched but because it received such bad reviews I held off.

It went on sale this year for 50% off so I thought about getting it during the Sephora Beauty Insider sale but my friend kept reminding me of the bad reviews so I held off some more.

Finally, now in July, I was no longer able to resist it.

As with all my Natasha Denona palettes I was super happy to open this baby up and just play with it.

The first day I didn’t do a full face but played with some of the colors.

I used Gusti and a lid shade and, just as expected, it was a very sheer, shimmery topper. I wanted to play with some of the colorful shades so I used Laguna on my lower lash and was surprised at how pigmented it applied. I used Limoncello as an inner corner highlight and it applied beautifully!

My second day I did a full face of makeup and tried other colors. To my surprise I was very happy how everything turned out.

I did use my finger to apply the green and I had to get quite a bit of product on my finger but it applied nicely and I didn’t have to worry about fallout.

So far I’m really enjoying this palette and for 50% off (at Sephora) I would definitely recommend it!

Natasha Denona Love Palette

This is the third time I’ve used this palette and each time I love the formula, colors and ease of use so much.

This time I stuck to a purple look instead of pink.

Commitment is a dark purple with shimmer that is perfect for depending a color. It is a very soft formula, I accidentally tapped my flat definer brush too hard and I took a chunk out of the shade. The formula is like a Colourpop super shock shadow so you need to pack it in then blend.

I’ve also been using the Tati Beauty Blendiful for the last week or so and I’m really enjoying being able to do all my face makeup (minus blush) with one tool.

If you’re interested in seeing how I use the blendiful check out my video on Instagram.com/asquard 💙

Natasha Denona Love Palette

I was excited to see Natasha Denona’s latest release was another mini palette and that it would be Valentine’s Day themed.

As soon as I saw the preview I was excited to try it but because of my low/no buy I didn’t think I would get a chance.

Fortunately for me, my wonderful partner understands how I feel about Natadha Denona and bought the Love Palette for me! (He has not been this understanding on previous desires, lol)

It arrived Thursday evening and I immediately took my eye makeup off to start playing with this.

Without flash
With front facing flash

I tried to use several colors to see how they applied and blended.

  • Colors used
    • Intense
    • Soul
    • Heartbeat
    • Heart
    • Trust
    • Pure Love

With the exception of Heart, all of the colors went on pigmented and were easy to blend. To apply Heart and have it show up I used a densely packed brush, once packed on, I was able to blend the color into the other colors used.

I can’t wait to continue to use this!

Are you picking it up? If not, why?
