Purple shimmer look

Recently I’ve gotten more into single shadows and depotting my palettes.

I love being able to see so many options to chose from.

Sydney Grace, Coloured Raine, Makeup Geek and Colourpop

Buying singles also gives me the opportunity to try more brands, especially indie brands that only sell single shadows.

This is also a great way to utilize more than one palette and brand.

For than look I used the following shadows:

• Colourpop – Zested, West Side
• Makeup Geek – Cocoa Bear, Steampunk
• Sydney Grace – Golden Wheat, Aim High

To bring out a little more of the lilac I used Colourpop Piggy Bank gel liner.

Colourpop Sandstone

Here’s another colourpop look!

The Sandstone palette may be just another neutral with a yellow but I still love it!

This palette has 4 mattes, 7 mattes that have glitter particles and 7 metallics/shimmers.

I find that these particular mattes that have the glitter through them apply with more of that glitter on the lid that previous versions have. I’m ok with it so I actually still apply these as if they were just mattes.

• MAC paint pot in soft ocre
• Vortex in the crease to brow
• Oasis in crease, keeping it lower
• Canyon Loop on outer half of lid and into lid
• Big Butte in outer third of lid and softly into crease
• Templeton in the outer edge, in a V shape with a tighter brush. Then take a fluffier brush to blend it out and slightly blending it into the crease
• Pueblo on lid – dip brush into color, spray with setting spray then apply to lid
• Blend between Pueblo and outer lid colors
• Lower lash – Canyon Loop, Big Butte and Templeton
• Desert Sky in the inner corner, dip brush into the color, spray and apply

5,000 Celebration

Today my boyfriend surprised me with a cake to celebrate 5k followers on Instagram.

This gesture means so much because instagram has been an up and down ride between us.

No one tells you what it means once you decide you want to strive for a larger media presence. There isn’t a book on how it will affect your relationships and how much time and mental effort it will take. I started last year with less than 300 followers and have increased to now 5,300.

Every day I try to find balance between what I want to do online, on my phone, and what I already have in real life. My relationships, my 9-5 and my free time all require attention and it’s easy for some things to fall to the wayside between the commenting and the likes.

So, thank you to my partner for being supportive, and thank you to everyone virtually supporting me.
