Givenchy Prisme Libre Powder

These last two weeks have been terrible for my skin. I’m not sure what changed, I’ve been working from home and we haven’t been using the heater more than the last month. Maybe it’s just been long enough to start seeing the effects.

As I was applying my foundation yesterday I started to stress at how terrible my skin was looking. I was using a dewy foundation but it was still sticking to all my dry patches around my mouth and nose (allergies, boo).

I was feeling down because of how my skin was looking but as soon as I started setting with the Givenchy Prisme Libre Powder my skin transformed right away!

I didn’t get a before and after picture, mostly because I was about to cry (silly, I know) but I’ll try to remember to post a side by side!

The powder is finely milled and has a perfume scent that goes away when you apply it. It leaves a soft matte finish and has been a life saver during this dry time!

Mini Walmart haul

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Walmart (we don’t have any conveniently near us) but I ran out of a couple of items so I took advantage and found one to go to.

I repurchased the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer. Theywere out of Sand which is what I’ve been using so I grabbed one shade lighter to try out. I felt like sand was a little too dark anyway so I think this one will be good.

I was also repurchased the WetNWild Photofocus loose powder in Banana. This is hands down my favorite powder and yesterday I fianlly ran out, I even removed the plastic stopped to use up every last dust spec lol. I contemplated holding off on replacing this one since I have a few others to use up but I couldn’t resist it.

The WetNWild blush is an existing shade, Mellow Wine, that was repackaged in this Valentine’s Day packaging.

I grabbed the elf mascara for about $2 to give it a try and the highlighter was $5 I believe. I like the highlighter, it gives a nice golden glow without any glitter. The mascara is ok, I’ll have to keep testing it because it’s still too new and too wet to really decide how I feel about it.

I couldn’t resist the cute little Caboodles tote. I’m always looking for a convenient way to carry my motd through the house as I look for a comfortable place to apply it lol. It comes with several compartments for brushes and makeup products. It’s actually a nail kit tote but it works for this too. The center compartment comes out for easy cleaning.

The last (actually it was the very first lol) item I picked up was a cute fluffy sloth for my niece.

Nars Hot Nights

After reading a review on the new Nars palettes by Beauty Unhyped (read here https://beautyunhyped.com/2019/04/25/nars-heat-of-the-night-and-skin-deep-palette-reviews-and-swatches/)

I decided I NEEDED the Nars Hot Nights palette. The swatches looked so beautiful and I’ve been into full face palettes lately. I took advantage of the Sephora Rouge sale and picked up the Hot Nights palettes but decided to hold off on the Summer Lights palette.

The color is almost creamy and it’s a lot more sheer than I’m used to but I still managed to come up with a look I really liked.

Other than Manini, the bronzer color, every color is a shimmer so if you’re not OK with shimmer everywhere I’d steer away from this or have a matte palette handy.

It looks like it’s sold out at Sephora but still avails on the Nars website
