The Nightmare Before Christmas palette remix

When I found out Colourpop was coming out with a Nightmare Before Christmas palette I was stoked to see what they would put out. Not that it mattered because I was going to buy it anyway, haha.

I forgot to take a picture before remixing my palette but the bottom quad is less cohesive in real life and the entire left half required too much effort for me.

I ended up only replacing five colors of the original palette but I feel like this is more usable.

Frog’s Breath is such a pretty color, I applied it over glitter glue. I love the contrast between that and No Drama

How do you feel about “remixing” your palettes?

Colourpop Misunderstood Palette Look Vol III

This isn’t a palette that I look at and immediately have a look pop out at me but I’m always able to put together a look that I love.

This was a very simple look but the shimmers are so pretty and really pop.

I lightly packed Devious in the crease and blended up to the brow. I applied Sing to the outer V of my eyelid, Underworld to the center and Pain and Panic to the inner 1/3.

I used my fingers to apply the shimmers and then I took small brushes to softly blend the shimmers together.

I took a small fluffy brush and brushed back and forth in the crease, with no additional product, to blend the shimmers.

I went back and packed on a little more Devious to the outer V to bring back some depth.

What are your thoughts on this palette? What kind of look would you do or would you like to see next?

Full (almost) Face of Colourpop

Maybe my goal for the rest of the month will be to use the rest of my makeup.

For this look I used the It’s a Princess Thing palette, Belle lipstick, Parakeet blush and Main Attraction highlight

I even recorded the look but I get so lazy when it comes to editing that I haven’t posted it anywhere.

I like this palette for its simplicity and, of course, it’s Disney theme.

I also love the lux lipsticks, pressed blushes and highlighters.

Do you have a brand that you love and have a full face of products from?

Colourpop Disney Makeup

If you’re a Colourpop or a Hocus Pocus fan you know today Colourpop is releasing a Hocus Pocus collection!

I’ve really enjoyed their previous Disney collabs (yup, Hocus Pocus is Disney!) so in honor I did my makeup with as much Disney as possible

Products used:

– Horse and carriage highlight
– Dr Facilier lipstick and Shadow Man gloss
– It’s a Princess Thing Eyeshadow Palette : Chip/Grumpy/Triton/Beast/juju/prince charming
– Misunderstood Eyeshadow Palette: Devious/sing/underworld
Tarte prize and peppermint mocha (I forgot the Disney collection comes with blushes as well as the Mulan blush)

Do you have any of the Disney collaborations?

Will you be picking this one up?

Colourpop Disney Midnight Masquerade Collection

I have to start by saying how surprised I am to have gotten my order so quickly!

Being such a Disney fan I knew I was going to get this as collection as soon as they announced it so I placed my order first thing Monday morning and by Tuesday evening (today) it was here!

I didn’t purchase the eyeshadow palette because I needed something to ask for as a Christmas present, lol!

The packaging on these is so beautiful.

S

ince they just arrived I haven’t had a chance to try everything so I’ll only be reviewing the Zero to Hero collection.

The highlight is a beautiful sheer Lilac highlight with a small amount of glitter. It’s a pressed highlight and does feel and look a little more powdery than their super shock highlights. I wasn’t able to get a good picture of a swatch but here are the swatches from Colourpop’s website

The collection includes highlights and blushes. If the blushes are anything like Colourpop’s typical pressed blush I know I’ll love them.

I was intrigued by the liquid lipsticks given that they’re a new “Lux Liquid Lipstick” formula

This is Wonderboy

I love the color and the feel is so soft! It feels almost moussey? It glides on very smoothly and pigmented. It has a very, very light smell, almost vanilla but it’s so light I might be making that up.

It isn’t transfer proof and I can tell I’ll have to reapply throughout the day but the formula feels light enough I don’t think I’ll mind.

Overall I would highly recommend the lux liquid lipstick and I’ll have to use the highlighters and blushes to see if I recommend them.

If you’re a Disney nut like me though, you’ll probably get the collection too!

Misunderstood

Colourpop just came out with a great new collection-Disney villains!

If you don’t know anything personal about me, know that I am a Disney fanatic so I obviously picked up some of this collection.

I don’t have much going on and decided to play with makeup after work today.

I am completely smitten with this green 😍😍😍
Used Tragic, Devious and Facile on lids. Used Devioua on lower lash and a little of 101 in the outer corner.
On the lips is Belle because why not 😂

Disneyland Day

When colourpop announced their Disney collaboration I was over the moon. I love makeup and I love Disney! I got up early this morning and decided it would be a great day to go to Disneyland so I donned a pair of minnie ears, threw on Colourpop Jasmin lux lipstick and had a merry time! This is a little more dry than their creme formula but it isn’t matte drying and lasts all day with minor touch-up!

As an added bonus, I love that this shade brings out the color in my face
