Purple shimmer look

Recently I’ve gotten more into single shadows and depotting my palettes.

I love being able to see so many options to chose from.

Sydney Grace, Coloured Raine, Makeup Geek and Colourpop

Buying singles also gives me the opportunity to try more brands, especially indie brands that only sell single shadows.

This is also a great way to utilize more than one palette and brand.

For than look I used the following shadows:

• Colourpop – Zested, West Side
• Makeup Geek – Cocoa Bear, Steampunk
• Sydney Grace – Golden Wheat, Aim High

To bring out a little more of the lilac I used Colourpop Piggy Bank gel liner.

Colourpop Lust for Dusk

I’ve been pretty good about not making too many makeup purchases this year but I could not resist the Lust for Dusk palette

The dusk colors really appealed to me and…I hadn’t purchased a new palette in a bit, haha.

I love the subtle colors and the shimmer/metallics. I was most excited to see Miser (used on lid in this look) make a comeback in this palette (first available in LE Fortune palette).

In order to make the lid shade pop I use the NYX glitter primer.

The forumla does not disappoint, it’s easy to apply and blend. I’m excited to post more looks using this palette.

Colourpop Liquid Eyeliner

I’m back on that Colourpop, lol.

I picked up a black liquid line, Numero Uno, regular price $8, to get to free shipping. This was the first time I purchased this style liner.

I have to start with saying, I hate CP’s pot liners. They’re hard to work with, they’re chunky and I can’t get them to apply smoothly no matter what deity I pray to. The pencil liners are fine, nothing special to be honest, so I wasn’t expecting much.

The most important thing for me when it comes to makeup is that it has to be easy. So, to test this out, I decided to use this liner for the first time in a moving car.

OK, it wasn’t planned but that’s how it happened.

I’m not the best at applying eyeliner, something to keep in mind, but overall, this eyeliner was pretty easy to apply. I did have to shake it a few times, and shake it in between applications, but it didn’t leak or apply too much.

I like the matte black finish and that I was able to apply a thin precise line but I’m interested in seeing how long it’ll take before it’s “empty” or too dry to use.

My eyeshadow is a combination of Makeup Geek and Sydney Grace singles and Colourpop SSS on the lid.

Speaking it into existence

I’m finally going for it! My goal is to make the Colourpop PR team!

First off, it’s hands down my favorite brand. I wound say 75-80% of what I own is Colourpop.

I love their products, believe they are great quality and most importantly (to me) they’re based and manufacture out of California.

I’ve learned so much in the time I’ve spent growing my social media. I’ve learned the confidence makeup can give a person, I’ve learned how makeup can bring strangers together and I’ve learned makeup can bring out so much in someone. I believe that Colourpop is a company that also understands and emphasizes this which is why I would love an opportunity to represent them.

I’m keeping all my fingers crossed and will continue to support the brand regardless, but wish me luck and hopefully this is a goal I can achieve this year!
