Ole Heineken Banana Bright SUN-KISSED Face Primer *
Tatcha The Silk Canvas Filter Finish Protective Primer and The Pearl Eye Treatment in Soft light*

REFY Sand cream bronzer
Wet n Wild Incognito concealer in Light Honey
Natasha Denona Invisible HD Face Powder in 01 light medium for my undereye area and
Almay Loose Finishing Powder in 200 light/medium for all over
Essence lash princess Volume and Curl mascara

Something else I haven’t done in a while is post unfiltered pictures (which these are)! I do have a ring light on for lighting which I know can soften features but, I haven’t felt this confident in my skin in a long time!

How have you been feeling these days?

Colourpop Makeup look

Here’s a quick makeup look using mostly Colourpop products.

Some of the products are no longer available so I figured I’d provide swatches in case anyone wanted to recreate the look or use similar colors!

At Forest Sight eyeshadow palette
ALT lippie pencil (as liner)
Best Intention Lippie Stix
Flynn lux liquid lipstick
Tick blush
Main Attraction highlighter

I appreciate that I’m able to use the lippie pencils as eyeliners because I would never use green as a lip color lol.

I love the blushes and highlighters and wish they were still available. I feel like I’ve used these products so much, and the highlighter is on my pan project, but I haven’t hit pan yet and barely made a dent!

I wish Colourpop had a bronzer I could use but I’ve found their bronzer to be too light, too orange or too stiff and hard to blend.

Let me know if you own any of these products!

Purple shimmer look

Recently I’ve gotten more into single shadows and depotting my palettes.

I love being able to see so many options to chose from.

Sydney Grace, Coloured Raine, Makeup Geek and Colourpop

Buying singles also gives me the opportunity to try more brands, especially indie brands that only sell single shadows.

This is also a great way to utilize more than one palette and brand.

For than look I used the following shadows:

  • Colourpop – Zested, West Side
  • Makeup Geek – Cocoa Bear, Steampunk
  • Sydney Grace – Golden Wheat, Aim High

To bring out a little more of the lilac I used Colourpop Piggy Bank gel liner.

I’d love to know what others think of using singles!

Colourpop Lust for Dusk

I’ve been pretty good about not making too many makeup purchases this year but I could not resist the Lust for Dusk palette

The dusk colors really appealed to me and…I hadn’t purchased a new palette in a bit, haha.

I love the subtle colors and the shimmer/metallics. I was most excited to see Miser (used on lid in this look) make a comeback in this palette (first available in LE Fortune palette).

In order to make the lid shade pop I use the NYX glitter primer.

The forumla does not disappoint, it’s easy to apply and blend. I’m excited to post more looks using this palette.

What do you think about this palette?

Colourpop Eye look V1

Not sure if the previous Colourpop palette posts count but I’m calling this V1 because I’m using shadows I’ve depotted and placed into one large palette.

This is the x-large palette I used to combine several of my small Colourpop palettes. It wasn’t an easy decision, especially since most of my Colourpop impulse buys are due to the packaging, but I love being able to see all my options.

I did have to label the shadows myself and at some point I stopped including what palette they were from but it is easy to Google the shadow name and see what palette it was in.

Shadows used :

  • Champs from Yes, Please
  • Top Notch from All I See is Magic
  • Hard from Double Entendre
  • Elfish from Dream St
  • Money Tree from Fortune
  • Juicy Fruit

The highlighter is a recent Jaclyn Cosmetics loose highlighters and the bronzer is from the Tarte Ave Princess palette.

How do you feel about depotting palettes?

Full (almost) Face of Colourpop

Maybe my goal for the rest of the month will be to use the rest of my makeup.

For this look I used the It’s a Princess Thing palette, Belle lipstick, Parakeet blush and Main Attraction highlight

I even recorded the look but I get so lazy when it comes to editing that I haven’t posted it anywhere.

I like this palette for its simplicity and, of course, it’s Disney theme.

I also love the lux lipsticks, pressed blushes and highlighters.

Do you have a brand that you love and have a full face of products from?

Morphe 35 O3 Look

Primer: Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas primer and Marc Jacobs Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut primer
Face: Covergirl Full Spectrum Matte Ambition All Day Foundation. I think I have the lightest shade in this collection, definitely made for more melanin rich peeps.
Measurable Difference Concealer Collection. We received this in a Boxycharm box three years ago and I’ve kept this since then, still plastic wrapped. I love how well this product performs! I used it for contouring, bronzing and concealer
Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder for under the eyes and NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop powder for all over
ABH Contour Kit powder
Smashbox Bronze Lights Warm Matte
Colourpop Interstellar pressed blush
Marc Jacob’s Gilty O!Mega Glaze All-Over Foil Luminizer NYX glitter primer for the lid area where I applied the shimmer shade
Shadows: Tempting/ Flame Game/ Red Alert/ Power Play/ Trance
@nyxcosmetics Fill and Fluff in Espresso
Tarte Big Ego Mascara
Kylie Cosmetics Madeline

The NYX glitter primer made a big difference in how the shimmer shade applied and how long it stayed on!

Colourpop Wild Nothing Collection

Colourpop released a whole new collection last week and I instantly knew I’d have to get a few of the items (I’ve completely abandoned my no spend, oops).

Being a desert girl with a succulent collection almost as abundant as my makeup this packaging sucked me in instantly!

As with most Colourpop launches, items sold out almost as soon as they were listed. Fortunately for me I was grabbing food and was able to park right at 10 to place my order.

I picked up the palette, three of the new creme shadows, all three blushes and for the heck of it one of the lip oils. I’m not one for a glossy lip but curiosity got the best of me.

Purchased items

I’ve seen a few people talk about how the colors of the palette don’t match the theme but I personally think it’s dead on. The desert isn’t vibrant or bright.

I forgot to use the cream shadows but I here I used as many of the products from the collection as possible

Shadows used: Top lid- Top Down/Morningside/No Bounds/Alcove /Spirited. Bottom Lid – Come Together/ Sea Shells. Inner Corner – Salton
Blush On The Horizon
Hot Shot lip oil

Alcove is a nice shimmer shade and Spirited and Salton are super shock formulas.

The blush has glitter specks in the pan but it applies with a nice sheer glow that doesn’t emphasize texture.

The lip oil! I am so happy I picked this up! It feels so soft and hydrating. It’s not sticky at all and doesn’t have that gooey thick feel some oils can have. It has a very light scent that goes away once applied and doesn’t have a taste (I accidentally licked my lips, haha).

Overall I really enjoy the products and color story released.
