Colourpop Salvaje

Here’s a look using Colourpop’s limited edition palette Salvaje, a collab with singer Becky G.

The palette came out in 2018 and was not the standard quality for Colourpop shadows but even now (don’t judge me) the shadows still apply and blend nicely.

I used NYX glitter primer on my lid under the shimmers, which I do with all shimmers I use, and I used Colourpop Mamacita lip liner as eyeliner to darken the lash line.

Colourpop SSS Vol 2 Pug Life

Here’s a quick look using Colourpop super shock shadow Pug Life.

I had to build up the color with a couple of layers but I didn’t used a base or glitter primer.

I used Nomad Cosmetics Fêtes de Provence for the mattes in the look

Side note: I’m not sure what it is about these Nomad palettes but I’ve found them the easiest to use when it comes to pastel and cool toned colors. They’re so pigmented and easy to blend without fading away. I don’t know if it’s the formula or my comfort level but I would highly recommend them!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Storage

I’m the kind of person who likes to be able to easily see what I have in my collections.

I recently downsized my living space significantly and am still trying to figure out the best way to store things. Something I’ve struggled with even before this are my CP Super Show Shadows. Even before this, I couldn’t figure out the best way to store them without taking up all the space but still have them easily accessible and viewable.

Well, I think I finally found the solution!

These washi tape holders can hold anywhere between 54 and 90 SSS, depending on how you place them. The drawers slide out making them super easy to access and they’re clear so you can see what’s inside.

You could store them face up in a single row or double stack them, or you can line them up back to back for maximum storage.

I found these at Michael’s but you can also find them on Amazon starting at about $16US.

Colourpop SSS Vol 1

As I go through all my makeup, I’d like to have somewhere to reference color swatches and quick eyeshadow ideas. I figured uploading them here is as good a place as any :).

I used Snap Dragon for the base, definitivamente had to revive this one with some Duraline

I know the proper way of reviving these is to break them up and repress them using Duraline but ain’t nobody got time for that, so I just add a drop on top and get the pigment. I’d also like to add that the SSS already have a nice staying power but with Duraline they tend to be a little harder to remove.

Obvi is an ultra-glitter that doesn’t have a lot of pigment, so I used it over Snap Dragon

I finished it off using Maybelline Lasting Drama Matte eyeliner in 910 Jade Olive. I’m impressed at how smooth and pigmented this eyeliner showed up despite not being used in a while

I hope these posts are also useful to others :)!

Colourpop Makeup Look V2

I have a large collection of Colourpop palettes and singles that I’ve put in an X-Large palette that I like to bring out every now and then to try new color combos.

For this look I used the following shadows

These are all from the Getting Fresh palette. I like swatching the shadows I use individually in case someone wants to use the same, or similar, colors but don’t have Colourpop shadows. I love the formula of CP’s shadows and these have great pigment and blend nicely.

George Michael (puppy) saw me put on makeup and was instantly excited thinking we were going out, lol.

I’m definitely feeling rusty when it comes to blogging but I continue to try to be consistent with it.

I hope this look inspires your own and if it does I’d love to see it! IG handle is asquard :).

Colourpop Makeup look

Here’s a quick makeup look using mostly Colourpop products.

Some of the products are no longer available so I figured I’d provide swatches in case anyone wanted to recreate the look or use similar colors!

At Forest Sight eyeshadow palette
ALT lippie pencil (as liner)
Best Intention Lippie Stix
Flynn lux liquid lipstick
Tick blush
Main Attraction highlighter

I appreciate that I’m able to use the lippie pencils as eyeliners because I would never use green as a lip color lol.

I love the blushes and highlighters and wish they were still available. I feel like I’ve used these products so much, and the highlighter is on my pan project, but I haven’t hit pan yet and barely made a dent!

I wish Colourpop had a bronzer I could use but I’ve found their bronzer to be too light, too orange or too stiff and hard to blend.

Let me know if you own any of these products!

Moira Cosmetics Love You A Latte

I usually try do my makeup everyday for a couple of reasons. It makes me feel ready for the day and, I have a lot it it to use up!

Normalmente intento usar maquillaje todos los días. Primero por que me hace sentir lista para el día, y segundo ¡por que tengo tanto que usar!

Recently I’ve been going without doing my makeup a day here and there and it makes me feel guilty because, again, I have so much of it to use up. To make up for it, I try to take advantage and use these days to test makeup looks, color combos, eyeliner style etc. Especially when it comes to bright or bold colors.

Recientemente e pasado un día aquí y allá sin usar maquillaje y me siento culpable por tanto que tengo por usar así es de que e tratado de usar estos días para probar diferentes estilos y combinaciones de colores.

This time I pulled out the Moira Cosmetics Love You A Latte and just use colors that appealed to me.

Esta vez use la paleta de Moira Cosmetics I Love You A Latte para ver que combinaciones me salían

It’s a neutral palette with a pop of yellow and blue that makes it a tad more exciting.

Esta es una paleta neutral con un amarillo y in azul que resaltan.

The color thar attracted me to this palette is Up To You so I try to use it in as many looks as possible. It doesn’t look like it but it’s an olive green color.

El color que me atrajo a esta paleta es el verde Up To You así es de que lo trato de usar lo más posible. No parece en la foto pero es un color aceituna.

For this look I used Love You, Up To You, Serenity and Indulge. I didn’t think Indulge would feel as wearable as it does!

Indulge no se me asía tan usable como lo es en esta look.

Natasha Denona Retro Palette look Vol I

This year I gave in to the “pink February” theme.

But listen, it’s because of all these great eyeshadow palettes!

My first “February” look (not that I’m planing more or anything) is using the Natasha Denona Retro palette

I’m a sucker for pretty much all of her palettes. Off the top of my head I can only think of one formula, one color in one palette that I don’t like. It’s that gold color in the Gold Palette. Brass. It’s just like flakey gold flakes.

Anyway, this palette doesn’t have any of that. While it may look monochromatic and boring, I love the colors available. You can do a “one and done” on the lid with pretty much all of these shades,of you can come up with a lighter pink look. There’s space for a smokey look, even a taupe-y look.

I’ll admit I may need help with color descriptions but we’re going to ignore that.

For this look I used: nude mauve , go-go, groove, jude, hello
